世界地球日的由來

世界地球日活動(dòng)旨在喚起人類愛護(hù)地球、保護(hù)家園的意識(shí)，促進(jìn)資源開發(fā)與環(huán)境保護(hù)的協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展。從20世紀(jì)90年代起，中國在每年的4月22日都舉辦“世界地球日”宣傳活動(dòng)，并根據(jù)當(dāng)年的情況確定活動(dòng)主題。2008年，中國確定的“世界地球日”主題與“國際地球年”中國行動(dòng)的宣傳口號一樣，即“認(rèn)識(shí)地球，和諧發(fā)展”。其目的是向社會(huì)公眾普及地學(xué)知識(shí)，加強(qiáng)全社會(huì)對地學(xué)的認(rèn)識(shí)和有效利用，提高公眾對資源國情的認(rèn)識(shí)，實(shí)現(xiàn)人與自然和諧發(fā)展。

The earth day campaign aims to arouse the awareness of human beings to love the earth and protect their homeland, and promote the coordinated development of resource development and environmental protection. Since the 1990s, China has held a "earth day" campaign on April 22 each year, and the theme of the event is determined according to the current situation. In 2008, the theme of "earth day" in China was the same as the slogan of "international earth year", namely "understanding the earth and developing harmoniously".
